During the Setup Wizard, FREETALK® Connect•Me informed me that there was a problem with my Internet connection. What do I do?

Internet detection Setup Wizard will attempt to access Skype service.  If the service cannot be reached, there must be something wrong with your Internet connection. Please do not attempt to change your cables’ setup since you would not be able to access wizard pages if you have not connected the cables properly. We suggest to first check if you can access Internet from your computer by opening a web browser.  If your internet is not working, then please contact your Internet Service provider to help you further. As a last resort if none of the suggestions helped, please contact our customer support department.

While setting up the device in the Setup Wizard, my landline was found, but I am still unable to use it. Why?

In some homes you might have the landline socket ready for the operator to connect the service, but that doesn’t mean you have the landline service enabled. If you don’t have the landline service enabled the device will detect the line but you will still not be able to make any calls with it since you don’t have the service contract with your local phone operator. You don’t need the landline service to use Skype with your home phone. In cases when you don’t have the service enabled simply don’t even connect the cable to the landline socket.
