FREETALK® Connect•Me may ring for up to one complete cycle if the call is answered on another telephone or fax machine directly connected to your landline. To avoid the problem we suggest to connect all the phones including the FAX machine through FREETALK® Connect•Me phone port instead of using parallel set-up.

Minimum system requirements
Broadband connection (Dial Up is not supported),

Modem/Router with spare network port (RJ45) and network that provides DHCP IP address,
Any standard or cordless home phone (pulse dialing is not supported),
Ready access to power (110/240V),
Multiple devices on the same network
Yes you can have as many as you like, just keep in mind that for each one of them you will need a separate home phone
Note multiple devices can only be configured on the same network using Bonjour. If you are using a PC then you need to install the Safari web browser to do this.
I do not have a Skype name.
No fuss! You can register for a new Skype name during the Setup Wizard.
Do I need to have a separate Skype name?
No, not really. You can use your existing one if you have it. However, we suggest having a separate one. You may not want your business clients to be able to call you at any time on your home phone
Using same Skype name with my FREETALK® Connect•Me and desktop or smart phone
Yes you can.
I have removed a contact from my Skype account on my desktop client but the same contact is still available on FREETALK® Connect•Me. How is this possible?
FREETALK® Connect•Me will not get contact removal information unless you log out from your desktop client. When you do this, the contact changes will be synchronized with FREETALK® Connect•Me as well.
How does FREETALK® Connect•Me know if a call is domestic or international?
A number is considered international if it does not belong to the country displayed under ‘Localization’ in the “System Settings” page
Can’t change call settings
The only scenario when this could happen is if your Landline is not available. In this case, the FREETALK® Connect•Me will use Skype for all the calls. If you do have a Landline, please check the cables to make sure they are connected properly.
What do Call Settings tell me?
FREETALK® Connect•Me has intelligent calling capability to know if either Skype or your Landline should be used in a given scenario. If you select domestic and international calls to be made via Skype, all the calls to those destinations will automatically be made with Skype no matter if they are on your Speed Dial list or not.
How do I force a call to be made through my landline?
To force a call to be made through your Landline, dial a number you are calling starting with the pound (#) key.
How do I force a call to be made through Skype?
To force a call to be made through Skype, dial ** before the number you wish to call.
Is there a way to determine if FREETALK® Connect•Me is using my landline or Skype when I am calling a number?
Yes, all the numbers from your Speed Dial list will always be called via Skype. If you are dialing a regular number without using pre-dialing keys like ** or #, the device will use configuration settings to decide if it will use Skype or your Landline. You can tell if Skype is used by listening to the sound coming out of your handset when the phone starts dialing. If Skype is used, you will hear Skype dial up tone before the call is established.
How do I print my Speed Dial list?
To print your speed dial list, open FREETALK® Connect•Me web interface then click on print button on the home page next to the speed dial list title.
How do I add someone’s contact to my Speed Dial list?
To add an existing Skype contact to your Speed Dial list, please open FREETALK® Connect•Me web interface then go to Contacts and Speed Dials menu item. You will notice your existing Skype contacts listed on the left hand side. Search for the contact using the search text box on the top of this section or search by scrolling. When you locate the contact on the list, click on it. The system will load contact details in the middle of the page, then select Add to speed dial link next to the number or Skype contact of this user. You will be able to add more numbers to this Skype contact just like your would normally be able to do in desktop client. When the contact is added to your speed dial list it will appear on the list of Speed Dial Contacts on the right hand side.
